Acting oiv the invitation of -the New J Plymouth Club, the Hawera Motor U>cle-Club spent a most, enjoyable day at New Plymouth yesterday. At halfpastnine 15 solo machines, 2 side-car putnts, and 1 car left Hawera and alter, an enjoyable outing returned early m the evening. With th^ exception of two punctures the trip was free >rom; any mishap. .The New Plymouth Club met the ;.visitors three miles out from the town and them to the Ngamotu beach where a pleasant swim was indulged m. After dinner and a short discussion on the coming motor cycle races, the party visited Kawaroa Park. Ihe visitors were unanimous in proclaiming thd trip most enjoyable. Speaking to one of the officials of the Hawera Club, a Star reporter was informed that when the universal halffu i-I came into force »*' wa» boped that these outings would become regular events.
