WELLINGTON CHAMPIONSHIPS.

Remarkable success has been achieved by Mrs Jarvie, of Hawera, at the' Wellington Croquet Championships, which , began in Wellington on January 31 Not only has Mrs Jarvie won all her. games so far and the -Wellington Associates' Championship, but she is one of the three ladies left, in the Open Championship competition. Mrs JalVe plays Mrs Tregear to-day, and if successful, meets, Mrs CDonnell in the final to-morrow.
The Times, in its report of Friday's play says:—Mrs Jarvie, one pf the Hawera representatives,- gave a -brilliant exhibition of the»game, her approaching to the ,hoop 6 being excellent. In the Associates' championship Mrs Jarvie defeated Mrs O'Donnell by" one point. Ab a result of Mrs Jarvie's winning the Associates' championship the Hawera Oluh will hold Mrs L. McKenzie's cup;for one year.
