(United Service.)

LONDON, Feb. 10

The Court of Convocation of Canterbury has decided upon an alteration in the book of common prayer and litany, which specifically refers to .airmen. It contains prayers for guidance at election time and for the maintenance of industrial peace.

The wording of the marriage service has been altered to react: "A marriage ordained for the innocence of mankind," and the passage "remedy against sin'f, now reads A "the ordained" natural instincts and affections implanted by God should be hallowed and. controlled." It i 6 propose^ that instead of the passage exhorting wives' subjection to their husbands, the clergy shall read some otlier passage of Scripture. The Convocation does not 'mention the lively question embodied in the word'"obey."
