4 (From Our Own Correspondent.) OVERSEAS CLUB. j The Overseas Club have furnished a room next to Messrs Syme and Weir's offices, which is now open to the p"ublic\ The room contains a splendid collection of genuine photographs of happenings during the .war, with a brief record of each event. Various books and literature dealing with the history, aims and objects of the club will be at the disposal of visitors. There is no doubt that when the public are aware of the •opportunity they have of using the room she fullest advantage will be taken of'it. BOWLING CLUB. On Thursday the Opunake Bowling Club are playing the local club in Eltham. Three full rinks are playing, and it is anticipated that some good games will result, Opunake always having been able to send strong teams away. TO-NIGHT'S CONCERT. The concert arranged for Wednesday (to-night)'promises to be a huge success. The committee have worked hard and have the arrangements well in hand. A glance at the programme, which is advertised on the front page, will show that all tastes are catered for, and from the number of tiokets sold a full house is expected. SWIMMING BATHS. The School Committee have secured the services of an attendant at the baths, and they will be opened daily to the public in the morning from 6.0 to 8.15, and in the evenings from 5.15 to 7.15. Mixed bathing will be held on Thursday and Saturday afternoons. Tickets for the season are being issued • —gentlemen 7s 6d, ladies ss. • Hawera Swimming Club are anxious to compete with us in swimming and water polo, so it is hoped that local swimmers will get all the practice they can.
