FRENCH FLAG INCIDENT.

BERLIN, July 16

In connection with the hauling down of the French Flag, a leading police official called at the French Embassy and expressed regret. Subsequently a company of Reichwehr marched past the Embassy, where leading French officers and members of the Embassy stood on the balcony, and the flag was rehoisted. The Reiohwehr presented arms and marched off, sing.ng the Deuchland über Alles, the crowd vigorously cheering the Reichwehr, who only participated in the ceremony after influential persuasion, but they refused to don parade uniforms.
