SUPREME COURT SENTENCES.

WELLINGTON, May 14

In the Supreme Court to-day, Mr Justice Herdman refused an application for the adjournment of the third trial of James Reynolds Hayne and Norman Neylon, for alleged unlawful use of instrument. The application was made on behalf of Mr Wilford, who has not returned from his trip to America. Mr Justice Herdman said accused had had sufficient time to bring along fresh, counsel. The case will be heard' next Tuesday. In the Supreme Court Aubrey Ibell, for theft, was sent to the reformatory at InYercargill for twelve months; Ernest Dawes, for indecent assault, to three years' hard labor.
