RAILWAY DISPUTES
A.S.R.S. COMMITTEE MEETS TO-DAY.
The committee which is to investigate the dispute between the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants and the .Railway Department is to meet today (states a- Wellington exchange). It is still uncertain who are to be the representatives ef the two parties. The composition of ths committee to> deal with the dispute of the loGomotiven»»i is to be different. Th» adjudicator* of this dispute are> to be chosea by theparties, but there ist no stipulation that they are to- be selected, front the union on the one hand or from th© Department on the other haadl The EwF.CA. have chosen tiwo outside assessors,, ami they ask the Government to do likewise. The representatives- of the association are to oe Messns W. D. Hunt, head of the firm of Messrs Wright Stephenson and €b.,. and Mr Jl S.Dickson, M.P., who has always shown at. great deal of interest in railway matters, and especially in the1 doncerm <sf the locomotive mexß.
