At the wool sales there was a choice ; selection of merinos, and' the record price of 98d w^s i-eac.«l. A goad selection of slipeg sold at full opening rates. These was a poor selection of greas'' , crossbreds. There was a hardening ten- , deney and practically no withdrawal of .lower sorts. The Aew Zealand Gear , clip brought 55 |d. | New eZaland Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Ltd have received the following cablegram from their London house under date February 10, 1920- ---| Sales opened. Wool, good merino upward tendency, .others 5 per cent, lower. Wool, fine crossbred, market firm' others neglected. Messrs Delge|y and Company Limited are in receipt o| a cablegram from their London House, under date of the 9th ,mst.^ reading as follows: Wool sales opened with a fair selection. As compared with last sales closing rates good merino wools were very firm, other descriptions occasionally slightly easier. I Fine crossbreds very firm, medium crossj bred unchanged, whilst coarse crossbred {were neglected arid mostly withdrawn . from sale.
