The secretary was authorised to make arrangements for catering and carting. ' The concert for the second day was left in the hands of Mr C. Lamb. ACCIDENT. I regret to report that .a serious accident happened to a little daughter of Mr Bennetts, of the Mountain road, on ! : Tuesday evening. It appears that the j I little girl was playing round the house, _ and approached and probably touched „ i the legs of a horse grazing, with the re- | suit that the animal was frightened and 1 kicked* the fcnfortunaig child in the face, breaking the jaw and! inflicting other serious injuries. The little sufferer was taken into the Hawera Hospital by Mr Ifopcroft, and her injuries I were .attended to. All. will hope that the little girl will soon^make a' good re- " covery.
