NAUTICAL COURT'S FINDING

AUCKLAND, Oct. 9. The Nautical Court found that the stranding of the steamer Arapawa at Waitara was due to the vessel grounding when leaving the harbor and becoming unmanageable, subsequently taking the ground on the north side of the harbor, where she became fast and sustained damage. No person was to blame. The Court was of opinion that the probable cause was the high wind and heavy sea having silted up the harbor.
