The concert held in the hall on bekalf of St. John's Ladies' Guild was successful in every way. There was a, large audience, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the programme. All the items were good, and were well re- | eeived. The programme was as follows: Piano solo, Mrs Grace; vocal duet, "Watchman, what of the. night," Messrs Ackroyd. and Grace; song, "The Miner," Mr Cooper; song, "Love's Own Kiss," Mrs Gate; song,*"I'U Sing Thee Songs of Araby," Mr Ackroyd; song, "Father O'Flvnn," Mr Buckeridge; quartettes, ""Homeward Watch" and "Serenade"; conjuring turn, Mr Strong; piano solo, . MiStrong; song,. "Anchored," Mr Buekeridge; 'song, ''Mountain Lovers,*'' Mr Grace; quartette, "Crossing the Bar" ; song, "Believe me if air those endearina young charms." Mrs Cate; song, "Mv Dreams." Mr Ackroyd; song, "Dixie Laud," Mr Strons. Accompaniments were played by Mrs Grace. After the concert refreshments were handed round and the hall was cleared for danciner. Excellent music was supplied by Miss Landers.
