WHARF LABORERS REFUSE WORK.

MELBOURNE, Aug. 28. in the House of Representatives Mr Tudor stated that the report in the Age that members of the Wharf Laborers' Union had refused to work with loyalists was incorrect, as the men were displaying a spirit of compromise m the matter.

Shipping remains idle pending the wharf laborers' dispute. Negotiations are proceeding.
