A RAILWAY CASE.

WELLINGTON, Aug. 27. In the case Martin Lee against the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, Mr Myers applied for a nonsuit, but Sir Bassett Edwards said he could not grant one at that stage. The case was unquestionably a most important one. Richard Hampton, president of the society, in the course of his evidence, said the executive was very sorry the position had arisen. At the same time it considered it could no.t do otherwise than remove Lee from office. The letter had a bad effect with some branches, and raised suspicion regarding witness and the general secretary. His Honor reserved his decision.
