SOLDIERS ARRIVE HOME
THE GIESSEN'S MEN.
About 70 men, ex the Giessen, for Taranaki were brought through by train yesterday. At Hawera station they were met by the Mayor (Mr E. Dixon). who extended a hearty welcome home to the soldiers, whose service and sacrifice for King and country were heartily appreciated by the citizens of Hawera and district. At his call cheers were given for the returned men. Th c Women's National Reserve, as usual, provided all the eol«Lier<e on the train with light refreshments, which were much appreciated by the soldiers.
