STIFF FINES FOR EVADING DRILL Young men who are neglecting to attend drills m accordance with the pro%nsion3 of the Military Service Act , should take warning from the substan- I tial fines inflicted upon offenders convicted in the Magistrate's Court says the N.Z. Department that defendant could attend one of the threo nights in the week "set apart for parades, but Lad made no endeavor to do so. j The Magistrate inflicted fines ranging: from 30s to £5. ft
