EXTENSIVE MUNICIPAL BORROWING.
PALMERSTON N., Aug. 27. * Palmerston North Borough Council meeting last night decided to submit loan proposals totalling £175,275, in--7 eluding concrete and tar-sealed road- / ways, municipal dwellings for employees, destructor, purchase of land for municipal buildings, extension of sewerage, and water reticulation. The public meeting last night instructed the , Borough Council to proceed with an electric light and power scheme at once.
