At a meeting of delegates to tne Canterbury Rugby Union to discuss tho proposed amendments of the Auckland Kugby Onion to the constitution of the New Zealand Union and the laws ot _the game, held to-night it was decided to give the delegates to the special meeting of the New Zealand bmon a free hand in the matter. It was pointed out that three of the five new rules favored by Auckland had been in force in Canterbury for years. It was also agreed that the delegates, should support the i Southland Union's proposal that, in celebration, of peace, the disqualification of League playeis be removed, exception, however, being taken to a proposal to" report such removal to the English Union in tha event of it being decided on.
