A very pleasant function was held in the local hall on August 20th, when thg young men of the district gave a return ball to the ladies. About 40 couples were present, and as the floor was m splendid order, everything went well. The music was supplied by Miss _^ ge,^ **?■ usual competent manner while Mm Ivy Tayler assisted during the evening with the violin. The sui£ per was of excellent quality and enjoyed by all.
