With reference to Mr LJoyd George's statement in Parliament on the subject of trade policy, the Board of Trade announces that legislation will be introduced in the autumn to protect goods manufactured in Britain and Ireland against champing, by taking power to prevent the sale in this country of similar goods beneath their prices in the country of origin, and to_ enable the Board of Trade to check any flood of imports that might arise from the collapse of exchange.
