IN MEMORIAM
BARE. —In loving memory of our dear brother Lewis, who was killed in action in France on August 25th, 1918; aged 26 years. His work is done, his path of duty o'er, Beneath a foreign soil his body lie's, Until the day when Christ by wondrous powrr Shall raise His own and take them to the skies. Dear boy, we know for- him that all is well, Yet in our hearts a sorrow deep remains; But to our Saviour God our grief we tell And prove the Grace that evermore sustains.' Inserted by his loving sister and brother-in-law, J. and F. Eggleton, Kaponga. BARR.—Tn loving memory of our dear Lewis, who was killed in action in France oa August 25th. 1913; a gad 26 years. Beloved, it is well with thee In thy young manhood's prime, Though at high noontide thou hast left The fleeting things of time. Too soon, our sorrowing hearts would cry, Thy earthy sun hast set, But none too soon for thee have passed Life's fever and its fret. Not lost, beloved, no, nor hid, The eye of faith is strong, To pierce the veil, the ear of faith May hear the ransomed's song. I * —— Inserted by his loving mother, brothers and an J»sister.
