The Wanganui Returned Soldiers' Association passed a resolution strongly protesting against the reinstatement of Yon Zedlitz to his former position in Victoria College. WELLINGTON, Aug. 5. In the Supreme Coui-t, Patrick Carlton MeGrice, fouud guilty yesterday of the theft of a handbag' containing money, was sentenced to six months' imprisonment; William Fenton and Bert Aiding, for being found on enclosed premises without a lawful excuse, were also sentenced. Fenton was given a term of two years' reformative treatment, and Aiding was admitted to j probation, subject to certain condij tions.
