ELTHAM 1. v. iNGLEWOOD I.

This match was played at Eftham, the home team winning by 11 points to nil. R. Glentworth scored two trie®, one of which lie converted, and L. Bunn also scored a try, Glentworth failing to convert. The game was a much more even one than the score suggests, Eltham being forced thrtee times' in the first few minutes. Eltham's first try was due to Moir's. fine play by passing to Glentworth right ori the,line, and being the only score in the first spell. As a result of good following up Glentworth again scored, converting his own try. A few minutes later L. Bunn got over in the corner. For Bltham Bunn was prominent in the^ forwards, and Moir, ■who was the mainstay of the Eltham backs, saving his team on numerous occasions, and Glentworth were the best of the backs. Iriglewood were superior on the line-out, almost always getting away with the ball. The Inglewood backs gave some good passing exhibitions, but always just missed scoring. Stewart at half played a good game, and Sheehan, five-eighths, took his passes well and showed a lot of pace. Mr H. A. Nuttall acted as referee. ELTHAM 11. v. TNGfiLEwOOD 11. This match was played at Inglewood, resulting in a win > for the home team by _11 points to 6. Graham dropkicked two goals and Julian scored a try for Inglewood. J.
