On the widely controverted ground of the lower cost of living, the Shipl building and Engineering Federation proposes a reduction of five shillings per week in the skilled and unskilled workers' war bonus. The dispute affects 2,000,000 men. The War Cabinet is considering the expediency of continuing food control through the winter months in order to prevent profiteering.
