TEACHERS' GRIEVANCES.

DUNEDIN, June o. A deputation representing the secondary school teachers waited on Mr Hanan and ventilated grievances regarding . salaries and superannuation. Regarding the latter, the deputation pointed out that two years spent, in training college counted for superannuation, but four years 5 training at the university for secondary schools was not counted.

The Minister said the position of secondary school teachers tad not received sufficient consideration. After paying a tribute to the work of secondary school teachers, he said he would do his best to have a satisfactory draft of a Dominion scale of salaries for secondary school teachers submitted to 'Cabinet. The point raised regarding superannuation would be looked into.
