SHEEP DOG TRIALS.
CHRISTCHUECH, May 23. After a lapse of four yeare, the Christchurch Sheep Dog Trial Club has resumed its.annual competitions. The heading and yarding event was won by g. W Trotter's (Kurow) Captain .roce, which scored in two xuns '63 points; L. O'Connor's (Ngapara) Kauroo Don was second, with 62; C C Gray's (Springfield) Boss Junior third, with 61; T. H. Bennett's (Kaikoura) Gale fourth, with 60; and T. Hogg's ' (Albury) Whitney Rose fifth, with '54. J. Trotter (Kurow) was the runner-up with Scot, which scored 50 points.
