FOOTBALL.
On Wednesday afternoon the Hawera Presbyterian Junior Bible Class played the Hawera Technical College. After a good game it resulted in a win for the Bible Class by 19 to nil. In the first half Foden scored two tries near the line out. Both his kicks failed. From a mark Foden kicked a goal. In the second half, Foden r obtaining the ball from a scrum, drop-kicked a nice goal. Shortly) afterwards Vowlegs scored a goal from a penalty kick. Just before time was up Brown obtained the ball1 through a passing rush and scored. Foden's kick at goal failed.
Both sets of forwards played . well, but the Bible Class backs played a better game than the Technical College backs. Mr A. Spratt controlled the game.
