THE PROOF OF THE ROLL

' With the view of rehabilitating the reputation and proving the wholesomen&ss of the 1916-17 wheat crop, which has been attacked as cabled recently, the Government ha-s made a free distribution of rolls containing the same proportion of allegedly doubtful flour as was supplied to the millers. A roaring demand showed the willingness of' the public to digest its criticisms.
