A conference of the group staff in Taranaki is being held in Hawera to.day to consider matters relative to new | Territorial and Senior Cadet training j year, which commences on June i. j Captain BraddeU, N.Z.S.C., ha s arrived in^ Hawera to take over the duties i of group commander during the temporary absence of Major Cox, who is in hospital at Christchurch. An interesting better from Mr Con Strack, giving an account of bis experiences in France, appears on page 6, and swill be found very good reading. The concert arranged in aid of the (Catholic Soldiers' Memorial Fund in the Catholic -school to-night promises to •be a great success. A good programme ha*; been arranged,, and it is expected 'there will be a large attendance. STATISTICS WILL SHOW.
