(From Our Own Correspondent.) COUNCIL AND ROAD BOARDS CONFERENCE. A conference of County Councils and. Road Boards in the province of Taranaki 'will be held in the side room Qf the Eltham Town Hall on the sth November, to formulate uniform by-laws for the. province. Such by-laws will include the regulation and speed of motor traffic and the licensing of drivers. By courtesy borough, representatives are invited to co-operate. A SUCCESSFUL BALL. The ball recently held by the Eltham returned soldiers, in aid of the tobacco fund, was a great success, and resulted in no less a sum than £55 being netted after defraying all expenses. BLUE CROSS FUND. Mj; W. D.
