The Stock Eixchange^ is optimistic, and business is brisker. ] Peninsular shares are quoted at £462. ( Furness, Withy and- Co.'s secretary stated that the company- knows nothing about the reported Government purchase of shipping. The companies, do not desire to be taken over.
