CANTERBURY.

At Addington cattle were at advanced rates in consequence of the short supply, and fat sheep fluctuated, but on the 'whole showed little change. Graziers were operating in unfinished sheep. Store sheep were offered in much larger numbers than. of late, including some southern lines, but these did not sell well. The market on the whole was easier. There was a good offering of store cattle, but the demand was ; not very brisk. Three-year-old steers met with the best enquiry, but the prices they realised were moderate. Pigs sold well, but dairy cows were easier in consequence of the large yarding. ■
