A motor car driven by Mr Dorn, of Otakeho, came into collision with the mail car near Manaia this morning, but beyond damage to the vehicles there were no serious consequences. The Northern Shipping Company advise that the Rarawa was barbound at Onehunga yesterday, and therefore no steamer will be leaving the breakwater to-day. Weather permitting, the next sailing from the breakwater will be on Saturday at 4 p.m. The Chronicle states that Mr G. H. IHckson, engineer to the Waitotara County Council, estimates the amount of damage done by the recent floods on the 97 miles of roads in the county at £5475.
