Waikato exchanges show that at the South Auckland tournament at Hamilton good form was shown by W. O'Callaghan, of Hawera, on th© opening day (Tuesday). In the qualifying round for the championship O'Callaghan's score was 168, the only card better than his being that of J. Banks (Cambridge) 165. J. Harold (Wanga<aui) returned 174, L. Seifert (Palmerston N.) 179, and W. Seifert (Palmerston N.) 181. Forty-four competitors played in the round, and fifteen qualified.
In the morning Medal Handicap O'Callaghan's card 81—^-75 was- the best returned., J. Banks (Cambridge) 81—4—77 being next.
