F. R. JACKSON'S & CO.'S REPORT
Freeman R. Jackson and Co., Ltd., report as follows: During the past week we have held our usual Wanganui and Waverley sales, and also a horse fair on Saturday last. At Wanganui sale there was ,a yarding of 270 cattle and 1600 sheep. Bidding was not particularly animated, but we cleared the bulk of the entry before the day closed. At Waverley there was keen competition for sheep, the cattle being rather backward in condition and failing to attract buyers. At our horse fair we had an entry of about 120, mainly unbroken sorts. Several outside buyens were present, and there was a good demand at prices somewhat lower than were ruling last year, resulting iin the bulk of the entry changing hands. Quotations:
