Smith ;and Easton will hold a 6ale of household furniture and effects on behalf of Mr J. J. Gregson, at his house, corner of Wellington and Victoria streets, on Thursday, Bth inst., at 1.30 p.m. The same firm, will also hold a sale on hehalf of Mr L. G. Adams, on Wednesday, August 21st, of his live i and deadstock, and household furniture at his house., Lake road, fuller particulars of which will be notified later. On Monday, August- 12, Mr Newton King will sell on account of Mr J. C. Davidson, Motunui, a fine line of pedigree and grads Jersey cattle. Mr J. C. Davidson has been breeding Jerseys on his farm near Waitara for quite a number df years. " Being a dairy far-1 mer, his great object has been to de- j velop a family of Jerseys, whose chief feture is the largo production of butter- I fat. His herd has largely been built j from the foundation cows, Flower Girl ' and Mahoe. Both of these animals were not only large-framed, strongj constitutioned cows, but they came from heavy-producing families. His principal sire has been Peggy's Campanile, thejhandsome son of th e Magnet's Boy cow, Magnet's Peggy. The large majority of the herd are high- j testing animals. The owner will .truck all cattle free of charge at the Wai- j tara Railway .Station. AH care taken, but no responsibility. Motor cars will ! run fromttoh o Stratford.
