At a meeting of the Taranaki Teachj o-s1 Institute at New Plymouth on I Saturday (reports the Herald), the inj torferenoe of patriotic and other functions with the ordinary school routine \va.s discussed. On the motion of Mrs Dowlhitf and Mr Stratford, it was resolved to -"ask the board to discourage the serious interference with school work caused by prenaring children to take part in these function?."
