SYDNEY, Aug. 3. Incomplete returns of street collections on Memorial Day total £12 972, making the total amount in hand £23,000. It is expected that the result of the appeal will be £60,000 to £70,000. Replying to a deputation of women asking for prohibition, the Hon. Mr Watt said that he did not think that Parliament would legislate for prohibi-* tion, but he believed that Cabinet ■would act in the direction of antishouting by regulation.—Press Assn.
