Sir Douglas Haig reports: We successfully raided enemy positions in the neighborhood of Lens. Hostile artillery was active at Villers Bretonneaux, Bucquoy, Merris and Meteren.

An American official report states: The enemy who penetrated to the region of Scringes and JNesles were killed, wounded or captured.
