George Slavich Milan, a Serbian, aged 25, Avho had,pleaded guilty in the Lo\A'er Court to six charges of house-breaking and one of theft, Avas sentenced to six months' imprisonment on each charge, and, as part of the sentence, Mr Justice Sim declared him an habitual criminal.
CHRISTCHURCH, July 31. In the Magistrate's Court, Arthur Richard Cole Avas charged Avith having failed to account for various sums totalling £70, received on behalf of the Red Cross Fund. He pleaded guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
WELLINGTON, July 31. Joseph Wynne, formerly employed as a collector by the Wellington Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, pleaded guilty to receiving certain moneys on hehalf of the board, and failing to account for them. He Avas committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
