(CASE AGAINST THE JUGO-SLAVS

AUCKLAND, July 31. .Mr .Rawson, S.M., gave reserved .judgment in the case against the Jugo.Slavs, tried* at Taumaruiiu'i, arising out of their refusal to perform work required.of them. Each defendant was •convicted and ordered to come up for -■sentence .if called upon within three jnonths, if he fails to undertake such work as required by direction, of the 'Commission ;.or the Court. The Magistrate .added that he considered it better -todeal with them in this lenient way in the interests. of the country, and that they should carry out national service than tlmt they.should be sent to gaol.
