v (From Our Own Correspondent.) SOLDIERS' COMFORTS GUILD. That energetic body of workers, the Eltham Soldiers' Comforts Guild, were extra busy tKis week, buying and packing comforts for the men in Egypt and France and prisoners of war in Germany. Wednesday and Thursday of . this week are special packing days, and ' all who can are invited to assist in packing at the rooms in Bridge street. Donations of plum puddings, sweets, biscuits, and any thing that will bring happiness to our boys at Christmas time will be gratefully accepted. Donations may be left at Carman's or Mrs Grimstone's, and at the rooms on the days mentioned. Packets of cigarettes will also be gratefully received, and may be left at Mr S. Parrott's. The Presbyterian Young Ladies' Guild occupy the Patriotic Tea Rooms on Saturday^ and the proceeds will be devoted to Christmas gifts for the boys at the front and in hospital. They invite donations for these laudable objects.
