An American communique states: The Americans in the Marne sector have entirely regained possession of the south bank of the river.

The enemy north-west of Chateau Thierry re-attempted an attack near Vaux, but the, attack was completely broken by infantry and artillery fire.— Aus.-N.Z Cable Association.
