MONEY FOR HEAVY ORDNANCE.
WASHINGTON, May 13. The War Department has asked Congress for six billion dollar® for heavy ordnahcej. the appropriation not being included in the fifteen billion estimates of last week.
Regarding the suggestion that Ameri-! can troops will not be used at pre- J sent, Lord Reading made a statement that he doubts the accuracy of the announcement, which is attributed to the British Cabinet.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
