The Williamstowh Huniles resulted: Tenacious 1, Molly Brandon 2, Barwidgee 3. The stipendiary stewards subsequently disqualified the owner (Mr Charters) and the jockey (A. Foreman) of the New Zealand gelding Luperino, one of the starters, for a dishonorable action in connection with Luperino's running.
The well-known steeplechase horse, El Gallo, who won the Great Northern Hurdles and Steeplechase double in two successive seasons, dropped djead at Auckland on Friday after completing a half-pae© task.
