THE WEATHER
The weather yesterday was particularly boisterous. Heavy nor'-westerly rain squalls prevailed, which early in the evening culminated in a severe hailstorm. This was followed by probably the severest frost experienced here for many years. The night was bitterly cold. This morning th© conditions are much more congenial.
