The Normanby Methodist Church anniversary will be celebrated on Sunday next, when three special services will be held. E-ev. A. O. Harris will p-each at 11 a.m., Rev. E, O. Blamires will conduct a patriotic service at 9.30 p.m., and Mrs Blamires will give an address at the evening service 'at 7 o'clock. Special music will be rendered < t each service. On \Vednesday a grand musical festival will be held in the Town Hall, when a programme of spectacular items, tableaux, etc., will be rendered by boys and gi?is under the direction of Mr W. McCiellan. A brief intercession service will be held to-morrow n?ght at 9 o'clock in connection with the anniversary of the declaration of war, and a patriotic service will bo held on 'Sunday evening. These arrangements are in accordance with the directions <f the president of the conference. A fi.ll attendance is urged. No choir practice will be held to-night.
