NAVAL DEPENDENTS' RELIEF

In answer to an appeal from the Navy League for the above fund, the Mayoress' Emergency Committee have forwarded to Mrs A. H. Waters hon. secretary of the sub-committee appointed by the Navy League to deal with this special fund, the sum of .£l3, proceeds of a sale of flowers and produce at the Dardanelles Stall. A further eftcwt will be made at tfie stall on the 18th inst., when all who are willing to help with this good work are invited to tsend contributions. A very urgent appeal has also been made for new and good ,clean, secondhand clothing, and the Mayoress' Committee have packed two good cases which will be forwarded by the Navy League to the naval port* in England for distribution by fche admirals' wives and other ladies. The sale of flowers and produce tomorrow at the DardaneJles Stall will be iB aid of the Salvation Army War Fund.
