CANADA'S CONTRIBUTION IN MEN
(Received July 12, 1.55 p.m.) OTTAWA, July 11. The Hon. Mr Meighen stated that Canada proposed to recruit 100,000 men, and not to stop there, but, if additional reinforcements were necessary, Parliament would be asked to provide them.
Mr Oliver pointed out tiat 100,000 still would not bring the actual oversea force, as promised, to half a million. Sir R. L. Borden assured the House that he would not limit the contribution in men if the war continued.
