WELLINGTON GAS TROUBLE

BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION

WELLINGTON, July 10. There is no appreciable change in the matter of the gas supply. There hae been a considerable demand for kerosene and spirit stoves to-day, and coal merchants have received a great rush of orders. The supply was cut off to-night at 6 o'clock, and it is expected the present arrangement will continue until the end of the week. No attempt was made to-day to obtain labor for the discharge of the Kittawa's coal. The Gas Company has sufficient coal on hand for a few days.
