SECRET DEBATE IN FRENCH CHAMBER.

PARIS, July 8. lhe Chamber has concluded the several days' secret debate on the conduct of the operations. It adooted a vote of confidence by 275 to 23, after a stirring appeal by M. Painleive for the continuance of the endurance and union the country has hitherto shown, till victory was achieved. M. Painleve received an ovation. | The Minister of the Interior- stated that the result of the strikes was purely economic. They were settled by the patriotism of the workmen and employers, and the suooort of the labor organisations. Stringent orders have been given to stop pacifist propaganda tending to weaken the morale of the people.
